Overview
Emara Estate: A Turtle Tail Villa Rental with Its Own Private Peninsula
Sleeps 34 | 17 Bedrooms | 17 Bathrooms | Beachfront, Turtle Tail, Providenciales
This Turtle Tail villa rental occupies eight gated acres on its own peninsula, cut off from the rest of Providenciales by Flamingo Lake and Juba Sound and reached by a 300-foot driveway painted, unmistakably, purple. Emara is two villas in one estate: Emara East, the eight-bedroom house formerly owned by the musician Prince, and the nine-bedroom Emara West, together totaling over 20,000 square feet. Waves break against the cliffside on one edge of the peninsula, while a calm, private bay wraps the other, giving guests a genuine choice of setting depending on the mood of the day.
Seventeen bedrooms sleep 34, fifteen with king beds and two with queens, spread across the two main houses, a guest house on each side, bungalows, and a standalone tower with 360-degree ocean and marina views. In Emara East, every bedroom carries the name of a Prince song — Purple Rain, When Doves Cry, Raspberry Beret among them — a playful detail guests notice immediately. Each villa runs its own fully equipped kitchen and living spaces at a scale built for a genuinely large group: Emara East adds a games room with a purple pool table and a watch tower, while Emara West has its own gym, outdoor bar and fire-lit oceanside lounge.
Down at the water, a private white-sand beach comes with sun loungers, shade huts and lawn games, backed by two infinity pools — one three-tiered — with ocean views from both. Behind the villas, a tennis court finished in Prince’s signature purple converts to basketball, and a 200-foot dock handles a private yacht, chartered boat, or jet skis directly from the property. Between the two houses, guests can find giant chess, table football, a treehouse, a sandpit and a stretch of grounds built for kids and adults to entertain themselves for a week without repeating an activity.
A villa manager and butler run daily housekeeping, evening turndown and grounds maintenance as standard, with a private chef, additional staff and boat charters available to add. Emara also hosts weddings and events directly on the estate, accommodating up to 100 guests for a ceremony or celebration even though overnight capacity tops out at 34 — a detail worth noting for anyone planning a destination wedding with a smaller guest list staying on-site and a bigger crowd for the day itself.
