Villa Land’s End
Overview
Villa Land’s End: An Ambergris Cay Private Villa Rental on Whale Watchers Point
Sleeps 8 | 4 Bedrooms | 4.5 Bathrooms | Oceanfront, Whale Watchers Point, Ambergris Cay
This Ambergris Cay private villa rental stands alone on Whale Watchers Point, the island’s southernmost tip, where the Atlantic meets the Caribbean Sea. Its lighthouse-inspired design wraps around a fully enclosed outdoor living area that can’t be seen from outside, and its decks catch both the sunrise and the sunset. In winter, humpback whales migrate past within sight of the villa.
The primary bedroom has the upper floor to itself, reached by a winding staircase, with wraparound windows framing the ocean on every side. Downstairs, two bedrooms sit alongside the pool and sundeck, while a fourth, just off the kitchen, has its own private entrance onto the deck. One room has twin beds that convert to a king. All four are ensuite, and there’s a half bath for guests, a full kitchen and an open living and dining room.
Days revolve around the longest heated infinity pool on the cay, with sun loungers along the deck and a fire pit for the evening. Binoculars and a 300mm telescope stay close to hand for whale spotting by day and stargazing at night, and Whale Watchers beach is a five-minute walk away. The rest of the island is a golf-cart ride off: about ten minutes to the Club House, and 15 to 20 to Calico Restaurant, Monck and Columbus beaches and the tennis courts. That distance is the point of this Ambergris Cay private villa rental: it suits two couples travelling together, or a family who wants quiet days and whale sightings from the pool deck, and Dream Pavilion is three minutes away if a bigger group needs a second villa nearby.
An Island Host looks after the villa, with daily housekeeping, the island’s all-inclusive dining and premium drinks, and return flights from Providenciales. Guest reviews of the island praise a kitchen that gets children eating fresh fish and smoothies instead of chicken tenders, and a water sports team whose snorkel trips turn up turtles, nurse sharks and barracuda. Spa treatments, boat excursions, in-villa private dining and the reserve wine list are available at additional cost.
